Katrina is Her Name
By: The Story Man
Ralph Kline
Tonight
I lay, me down, to sleep
I
pray the lord, my soul, to keep
I
hear the wind, reply, to me
Your
soul, is all, you’ll keep, - your soul is all you’ll keep.
She
comes tonight, to call, our hand
No
Jack, nor Queen, nor King, can stand
A
full house will fold, on shifting, sand
She
knows, her flush, can wind
We
hold, the losing, hand
Tonight,
she’s in, command
{1st chorus}
She’ll
spin -the- wind, to push the rain
With
raging seas, she’ll cease or game
She
feels no shame, she deals in pain
Katrina
is her name, Katrina is her name
We
roll the dice, she’ll spin, the wheel
We
play the odds, she’ll take, the till
She’ll
see our hand, and then, she’ll deal
Those
games, she came, to kill
That
pain, she came, to deal
With
morning light, we’ll scorn, her wrath
And,
those she spared, will morn, her path
We’ll
take -the- toll, we’ll do, the math
And
then, we’ll hear, her laugh
We’ll
hear, Katrina laugh
Forever,
hear, her laugh
{2nd chorus}
WISDOM grows from experience. There's POWER in wisdom and this powerful, descriptive story-in-song, portrays a massive storms wrath.
" KATRINA is her NAME " was written and performed by a Gulf Coast resident who experienced complete home and property devastation and loss in the wrath of OPAL in 1995.
"THE STORY MAN", Ralph Kline, brings his experience and wisdom to you in his talented method of song writing. This story-song is so strong and will be a collectors token and will be associated with the historic KATRINA hurricane for generations to come. A song well deserving its place and its time, to be shared with listeners of all ages.
"KATRINA is her Name" is clever, powerful and unfortunately true to a recent and tragic American disaster.
THE TIMES

The Story Man - Ralph Kline
For any father who has lost a son while protecting others, “Many Times” is a story of suffering that is hard to remember, but harder to forget. It tells of a father’s pain, pride, and love in a young hero, lost, but never forgotten.
From the Smoky Mountains of
Tennessee to the beautiful gulf coast of Florida, Ralph Kline has shared his
unique ballads with grateful listeners for over thirty years. Known simply as
the “Story Man” to his small circle of fans, Ralph’s music has a way of
lifting spirits and touching souls. While performing on a moonlit beach, at a
front porch sing-along, or in local theater, Ralph’s truth-in-song is enjoyed
by fans young and old. Whether it is the smooth rich tone in his voice or the
wisdom and strength found behind his lyrics, it is easy to recognize his gift.
Inspired from life changing
events, Ralph first wrote the lyrics to “Many Times” after seeing so much
suffering during the horror of the World Trade Center attacks. To many American,
these words grew to have greater meaning as the war against terror escalated.
His life long talent for poetry and music has always served as an outlet for his
personal struggles in times of tribulation. Only a privileged few know of the
numerous songs written by “The Story Man” and the richly unique tales they
recount. Until now, his soft mountain country sound has only been shared with
his local fans, his wife, and their children.
As a local businessman and
grandfather making his way in a small southern town, Ralph lacked the resources
needed to share his music with a larger audience. He began to voice the desire
to make his song of compassion freely available to all families grieving a loved
one’s young brave life, sacrificed in public service. A small group of friends
and fellow musicians, decided to help the “Story Man” achieve this goal.
Ralph is currently employed
as a security officer at the gulf coast Seaside Community in the Florida
panhandle and does his part to keep its residence safe. His fellow security
officers and the community leaders have come together to help “The Story
Man” capture, in song, an understanding of healing from the pain of loss.
With limited resources,
Ralph has worked tirelessly in his recycling business to raise the revenue
needed to produce “Many Times”. In his hometown of Freeport, residents and
business owners collect and deliver aluminum cans to Ralph, who then ships them
in bulk to a recycling industry. The meager earnings have helped him purchase
the necessary recording equipment and musical instruments to record this single
release, for public broadcast and distribution.
Thanks to many selfless efforts, “Many Times” is now being requested and played on thousands of radio stations across the nation. Ralph Kline, and his group of musicians and artists are committed to honoring those American sons who have given their lives preserving safety, security, and freedom at home and abroad. Admired for his success, supporters thank “The Story Man” for his gift of song and anxiously await his next album.

Many Times
By: The Story Man - Ralph Kline
My respect for you son grows more with each day
God knows, your time away has seemed so long
How I love to tell your story,
Of your courage, pride, and glory
And so Many Times, I dream you're safe at home.
Many Times in a father’s heart, he’s filled with pride,
So he opens up and shares what makes him beam
And I gladly say that you son, at only half my age son,
are twice the man, I’d ever hope to be.
So many years of my life, you’ve made me proud,
As a Son, a friend, and helper to your old Dad.
And the gifts you thought I gave you,
Were always there, within you.
I only helped you find out what you had.
So Many Times I miss my son beside me
And many times I’ll turn and call your name
Many Times I’ll see you and many times I’ll hear you
Those many times, I dream your home again
The memories of my Boy, I’ll hold forever
Time flew by before my eyes and you were grown.
How I love to tell your story
Of your courage pride and glory
And so many times, I dream my son is home.
Yes, I love to tell your story, of courage, pride and glory,
And so Many Times, I dream my son is home.
Thanks again, and enjoy your stories in music by RALPH KLINE, THE STORY MAN
